The Lincoln Witness Tree LP Tree was contracted to provide lightning Protection for the Lincoln Witness Tree that stands still today, in the yard of the Lincoln - Tallman House. The house is a 426 N Jackson street in Janesville WI. This tree gets its name “honestly” in that it was standing in October of 1859, when Mr Lincoln was in Wisconsin while on a speaking tour in 1859, that led him from the fairgrounds in Milwaukee, to Beloit. Mr Tallman along with other party members went to Beloit to hear the President speak, and after the gathering invited Mr Lincoln to speak at the Janesville Republicans Club that same evening. The President accepted, and ended up spending the weekend as a guest in the Tallman’s (then) New Home. Check out the Lincoln-Tallman House
